The I-83 Exit 18 study is currently in the preliminary engineering and environmental studies phase of the project. This phase concludes with the selection of an alternative that meets the transportation needs of the study area while balancing environmental and socioeconomic impacts. Currently the environmental scientists from the project team are quantifying and analyzing the impacts from the preferred alternative while project engineers are fine-tuning the interchange layout to best meets the needs of all users.
